Desert Ultra: Athletes Endure Toughest 250Km Race in Africa

Across 250km of burning hot African desert, a multi-national team of courageous endurance athletes takes on what has been dubbed "the toughest foot race in the world".

With temperatures that regularly top 50°C, their bodies pushed to their limits and no room for rest, this documentary follows the competitors as they persevere through physical exhaustion and mental battles.

Not only are the athletes forced to battle it out with extreme weather conditions, but also with equally extreme conservation areas teeming with Zebras, Elephants, Oryx and Giraffe! All the while having to carry all their own food, equipment and medical kits to get them first across the finish line.

A magnificent feat of human strength lies within each runner of this trail running documentary as they strive resolutely towards victory.
